LaMelo Ball has taken the time today to take in a little bit of local culture it can be confirmed.
The young superstar who sensationally signed with Illawarra Hawks in the NBL, asked some of the guys he is now playing with to show him around Wollongong.
After a quick swim at Fairy Meadow following training, a couple of teammates decided it was time to treat the young American to the height of Gong Culture.
“Yeah the boys said I have to come down and try and knock over a Chickos meal,” laughed the player being touted as a potential number one draft pick in the NBA.
“This place is incredible,” he said referring to the fast-food institution of the Illawarra region.
“Those burger buns are the size of pizza bases,” said the amazed young basketballer about the affront to modern health.
With a couple of the boys laughing at Ball experiencing his first Chickos meal, they then promised to take him on the Santa Pub Crawl.
“I love this place,” said Ball, yet to experience the wave of guilt that flows post the giant meal.
“Bring back the Steelers!”
