Local commerce student Jasmine Phillips is today pulling out all stops to try and get her study back on track.

Just hours away from her Corporate Finance: Theory and Practice exam, Jas says she’s really hit a wall.

“I’m struggling,” laughed the young lady.

“Getting into chewing gum like that Extra Intense Mint stuff to help me get my head in the game and so I can take some of this babble in,” she said pointing to the pages and pages of notes she’d been given on the third year business module.

“Cause otherwise I’m gonna find myself in another Tik Tok wormhole and an hour of my life will disappear.”

Jasmine explained to The Advocate she doesn’t need to pass with flying colours to get over the line in the subject, and that’s something that’s contributing significantly to the dragging of the chain.

“It’s pretty easy to remember that Ps get degrees right now,” said Jas, frantically chomping away.

“All the try-hards can tell you it doesn’t get clerkships or the best grad positions, or whatever.”

“But, right now, I don’t think that bothers me at all.”

“In saying that, Extra Gum aren’t lying when they say this stuff is intense mint”

“I reckon a sip of cold water now would put an electric shock through me”

“It’s got a real kick, so I might make the most of that and try and get some more study in,” she said, implying that it was now time for our reporter to leave her alone.

More to come.
