A Betoota Heights woman has found herself unable to suspend her disbelief watching the TV series C*A*U*G*H*T,  this week, stating that she finds it highly unbelievable that anyone would agree to be held hostage in exchange for fame.

Deciding to do exactly what her boyfriend does whenever she watches a TV show, Darcey Malvern has opted to provide a running commentary of every single thought that enters her head, including letting out the occasional scoff when a character does something particularly hairbrained – i.e just like her boyfriend Tyson does every time he insists he’s ‘not watching Married At First Sight.’

Waiting until Tyson was fully engrossed in the second episode, Darcey was able to get her revenge by coming in hot with plenty of observations and questions.

“So they’re working with the people that have taken them hostage”, she asks, “and the video goes viral?”

“Correct”, Tyson answered, not so subtly raising the volume of the TV.

“I don’t know, that doesn’t really seem realistic”, she mused, “especially the guy whipping his top off for more views.”

“Being placed in a high octane environment without access to family and friends and subjected to various forms of psychological torture just doesn’t seem like a form of entertainment to me.”

“Don’t really get the appeal.”

More to come.
