Bright-eyed and optimistic, six-year-old Bradley Thompson has been told by his parents he can be anything he wants to be when he grows up, despite the fact it is likely he will probably be an accountant or something.

With only a few years of cognitive function under his belt, Thompson aspires to one day be an astronaut and maybe fit in a bit of acting and firefighting on the side, a career path that is as unattainable as it is ludicrous especially compared to the straightforward trajectory of accounting or something else in finance.

“I’m gonna be a ninja!” said the future financial advisor.

Sources close to Thompson have confirmed that while his school bag does contain drawings of astronauts, it also contains a school appointed maths book which would be ideal to teach him the basic principles of mathematics that would one day make him an average to above average accountant at a mid-range firm.

“I’m going to be up in the stars!”

Mother Leanne Thompson (36) supports her son’s dreams to reach for the stars but will also be happy for him to reach for an ergonomic calculator once he’s old enough to know better.

“Of course he can be an astronaut. Of course, he can,” stated Leanne Thompson dotingly.

“He probably will be an accountant though. Or something like that.”
