A local man is coming up for air, it can be confirmed this afternoon.

Michael Lane a young lawyer from our town’s aspirational Betoota Heights district has finally clicked his phone off and taken a long deep breath.

This comes after the man spent the hours between 9am and 2:30pm with his eyes flicking from his computer screen to his mobile phone.

Speaking to us from the cafe in the foyer of his non-descript Old City District firmy type building, Lane said it’s been a pretty hectic morning.

“Yeah, balancing all the shit I was supposed to do with 6 hours of wall to wall NBA play offs really takes its toll,” he laughed.

“Particularly given I’ve been doing it all week too,” he laughed.

“When asked why he didn’t just turn the TV on in the office, or go and take a lunch break and watch it in the communal space,” Lane laughed.

“Bro, NBA isn’t really like that, it’s much better as background noise that you can distract yourself from with some work.”

The man who describes himself as Bronsexual, says he loves the opening round of playoff games for the wall to wall nature of it.

“Sure, it’s cool to watch the actual finals with a game every two or three days, but the Red Zone like coverage of this is about as good as it gets imo.”

The man who has a jump shot like Ben Simmons, says it makes him feel like getting the gang back together and re-starting his social basketball team.

“It’s a wonderful time of the year.”

More to come.
