Betoota resident Clive Crook (43) is bleeding a different type of red, white and blue today as he takes Halloween to new levels of trans-pacific patriotism.

A lover of all things American, from basketball to the commercialisation of a gaelic holiday, Crook wanted to take his Halloween celebration into previously unseen levels of Americanisation.

Although Australia is the only country that has followed the USA into every military conflict since WW2, many morning TV viewers are concerned that celebrating halloween will make us too much like America.

However, the spooky holiday was not American enough for Crook who decided to crank this one up to USA and fire a few rounds of live ammunition into the air.

“How do you make something more American?” asked Crook, who dressed as a gang member from the 1979 film The Warriors again this year.

“Guns and lots of them!”

Despite firing live bullets clear across the heads of his halloween party guests, no one at the party was concerned as gunfire was a new sound to them and everyone just assumed a bunch of cars were backfiring outside.
