Some in the artificial intelligence community have expressed concerns recently that the technology is developing too quickly, which will lead to robots taking over the world.

Those experts, who agree that AI will eventually enslave or kill us all, obviously haven’t played the new AFL23 game that’s out now on PS5 and other consoles because the AI on display in that video game would rest even the most worried of minds.

One of those now-pacified experts is Professor Gregor Redpath from the South Betoota Polytechnic School of Robotics, who came over to our Daroo Street newsroom yesterday evening to try the new AFL game.

After ingesting half of Clancy’s famous homemade THC gummies, Professor Redpath sunk into a beanbag and began explaining why he’s worried about robots learning how to live among us.

“They’re constantly learning,” he said.

“We need to be careful with developing AI that has self-learning capabilities. From a strictly mathematical standpoint, it’s a matter of probability. I’m sure you’ve had enough of these brain lollies to know what Chaos Theory is. Well, that applies here.”

“Oh man, I can’t get up.”

Professor Redpath then told our reporter that he was on the precipice of a panic attack, so he was given a glass of Diet Coke, and the PS5 was turned on.

Our reporter asked him to pay attention to the AI in the new game, AFL23, which Wendell had downloaded during the day, absolutely crippling the newsroom’s internet for hours.

Professor Redpath chose the West Coast Eagles, wanting to get revenge on Geelong for their crushing loss at the hands of the Cats earlier in the year.

Despite never having played the game, Professor Redpath ended up defeating the Cats by 195 points.

“Oh man,” he laughed.

“These robots are so dumb. I can’t believe I wigged out like that. Do you want to take the other half now, and I’ll tell you about Game Theory?”

More to come.
