A travelling contortionist has all but blown the socks off a depressed father of three this afternoon in town.

The Royal Betoota Food & Wine Show kicks off today in Machattie Park and one of the first big attractions on day one was Bendy Wendy, a young lady who goes from show to show contorting herself into a small box.

It’s not the first time Mark Pern, 64, has seen Bendy Wendy perform.

He told our reporter that he saw her perform last year and the year before that. Each time, it takes his breath away.

“Look at the size of that box,” he said.

“Unbelievable. I mean, she’s not that big to begin will but that box isn’t much bigger than a milk crate. There’s a basketball in there with her, too,”

“This is more impressive than the tractor pull, in my opinion.”

Mark then cleared his throat.

“I’m had a few gummies today. The young bloke at work who drives the forklift makes them at home. I’ve had a whole THC Killer Python,” he said.

“Who you like my other one? I don’t think I’ll be able to stand up for a little while. I hope my wife doesn’t call me over or something. My teeth feel like tiny little sharp mountains in my mouth and time is passing either really slowly or fast. What time is it?”

Our reporter took the other Killer Python and took the head off.

“It’s 3pm,” our reporter said.

More to come.
