A recent report by parents of high school-aged kids right across the Harbour City has today found that every single teenager in Sydney claims to have either met the Kid LAROI, or know someone who knows him well.

Hailing from the South Sydney-suburb of Waterloo, and raised between the city and Broken Hill, the Koori hip hop sensation is currently one of Australia’s most streamed musical exports.

On top of all the major chart-topping success the teenage rapper has experienced since relocating to the United States, his name still echoes across the train stations and schoolyards around New South Wales – as every single kid in Australia’s most populated city claim to have at least one degree of separation between them and The Kid Laroi.

The title of Sydney’s most well-known teenager joins a long list of accolades the 17-year-old has amassed throughout 2020, including three ARIA Awards at the forthcoming ceremony – ‘Best Male Artist’, ‘Breakthrough Artist’ and ‘Best Hip-Hop Release’.

With 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and even more on YouTube, The Kid LAROI could quite possibly be the most famous teenager to come out of the city.

Parents of Sydney teenagers say that they haven’t seen this level of ‘my mates know him’ since Daniel Johns starting making day trips from Newcastle to party in Sydney.
