JUST LIKE OLD TIMES: A mum’s social brunch took a nostalgic turn last Saturday when a group of mums found themselves huddled around a glass-top outdoor dining table with a pack of cigarettes in tow.

The decision to carry on came after downing a couple too many savvy b’s and refusing to call it a day.

“Henry has the kids this weekend, so I have a free house” was all it took for an UberX to be booked, heading to one of the mum’s suburban homes.

The outdoor dining table, once the centrepiece of quaint family gatherings, was the focal point of this long awaited trip down memory lane.
As the ladies got stuck in, conversation quickly turned incoherent as they reminisced about the “good old days” while attempting to recreate their youthful dance moves— a spectacle that would have undoubtedly raised eyebrows among their teenage children.

As for this moment in time, the struggles of their mundane middle-aged lives were a distant memory as they relived in the carefree abandon of their youth.

The tears soon followed.

More to come.
