Streaming services are getting right into something allegedly called ‘the Easter Spirit’ by recommending some Easter classics, whatever the fuck they are.
These days owning discs containing digital media is about as trendy as a fedora which is why 99% of films, tv and music are now enjoyed via a streaming service.
With their boots now bigger than front rower’s Asics, streaming services will latch on to any holiday to get you streaming including Christmas, Valentines Day, Australia Day and even American ones like Halloween and Thanksgiving (please don’t show a boomer this article).
However, streaming services may be melting in their wax wings as they now recommend we watch some classic Easter flicks or stream some heartwarming Easter carols, if such things do indeed exist.
“An Easter playlist? What the fuck is on there? Hot Cross Buns by the Perth Recorder Orchestra?” asked understandably baffled streamer Sheila Rex.
“It’s just a normal playlist with the odd song about chocolate.”
“Is there even a classic Easter episode of any sitcom? Seriously, name one. A good one.”
Our reporting team then named the episode of the Dawn French sitcom The Vicar of Dibley where SPOILERS: Mrs Cropley posthumously gets all the residents of Dibley to dress up as the Easter Bunny and deliver chocolate eggs to the whole town. Our reporting team then proceeded to stream the episode and watch it with Sheila as a sort of Easter miracle.
