It appears the Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott is taking his new role as Special Envoy to Indigenous Affairs quite seriously, after today adding a [-o-] to his official Twitter account.

The respected Northern Beaches community elder popped back up on social media today to point out that the Liberal government is looking deadly, and getting deadlier, although he seemed confused about the fact that he was no longer the leader.

However, sources close to Uncle Tony say his burning aspiration of reclaiming the role of Prime Minister is well behind him, now that he’s got this flash new job.

“It’s been too deadly” says the Member For Warringah, speaking candidly to the Betoota Advocate about the joys of being able to catching up with his extended family and community members.

“I’ve been throwing in for a few feeds though [pokes tongue out and winks]”

Prime Minister Scott Morrison did not ask Mr Abbott to be a minister in his new Government, but instead asked him to take on the role of envoy, citing his close association with Aboriginal Australia after growing up in a six bedroom mansion in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and working for the Liberal Party for nearly three decades.

“It’s good to see him finally taking a job seriously” said Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

“Hopefully he can channel some of his cunning political puppeteering into actually doing some good. Like, imagine if he’d spent the last six months trying to eradicate glaucoma in remote communities instead of putting Turnbull on a pension”

Uncle Tony responded to Morrison’s comments by suggesting that the migaloo in charge should focus on his Captain Cook statue and stop telling blackfullas what they need to do.
