Indonesian based fashion worker Inten Zhū (17) states she is very proud that her employer Nike has stood with former San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in their latest ad campaign.

Much like her mother, sisters, aunties and nana, Zhū is passionate about her work at the Nike factory, putting in 14 hour days, six days a week to bring insecure people around the world a talking point that can also be worn while running.

“It means so much to me,” stated Zhū as she stitches shoes for $9 a day.

“Now when I come to work I will be proud because my employer stands up for what is right in the name of increasing brand awareness.”

Upon hearing about the controversy caused by the Kaepernick advert, Zhū is concerned about the divide in the first world nation of the United States and how shareholders will handle the two dollar drop in share prices.

In response to the individuals who have burned their Nike shoes in protest, Zhū said that she is indifferent to it as she has already been paid dozens of dollars to make the shoes regardless.

“Their loss. They are missing out on a chance to resell them for roughly the same price they bought them for in a couple of years.”

Through a translator, Zhū stated she hopes for the sake of her employer that Americans are able to bridge the divide and begin purchasing Nike products again.

“Send them to me and I’ll even sew the swoosh back on your socks. It will cost you extra though. 50 cents and hour this time.”

More to come.
