In some breaking news from the banks of the Brown Snake, it is not a good day to be a cold beer on Caxton Street.

In fact, it’s probably not a good day to be around the city of Brisbane tonight at all, with the Queensland Reds playing host to the ACT Brumbies in the Super Rugby AU final.

That’s because the Reds have just won the title in incredible fashion.

Played at a packed Suncorp Stadium, the game will decide who is the most dominant domestic side in the Southern Hemisphere before the team’s kick off against our friends across the ditch in the Trans Tasman comp.

With the Reds being comfortably the form team for Queenslanders right now, it’s safe to the say the Sunshine State has decided to get behind the boys.

And that’s bad news for alcoholic drinks in the nightlife precincts of Brisbane tonight.

Look out.

More to come.
