A man who arrived home in an almost-new, second-hand Nissan Cube this week has quickly realised that his new purchase has cost him his ability to successfully hang shit on anyone in his life.

Clarke Michaels, from Betoota’s trendy Bonsoy Belt, pulled into his driveway as neighbours from all directions came running to their windows, pointing and laughing hysterically.

“What the fuck’s that?” asked his housemate “It’s my new whip, bro” Clarke replied, flicking the keys around on his finger. “Come check it out brah. I’ll show you round it”. “Nah I’m good, man” his housemate responded, “are you going to leave it there out the front?”

Michaels, a drummer for local indie-rockers Dick’s Myth, says that the car is perfect for getting around town with his drum set fitting nicely in the back. “It’s just so practical. It’s gotta great stezza too and an aux input for the big tours out past the rivers”.

Clarke has realised though, that he doesn’t seem to stand a chance when it comes to throwing a bit of niggle around with his mates. “Anytime I drop a zinger on any of my friends or anything, they just mention anything to do with the car and it’s game over. I can’t seem to compete.”

Michaels always faired pretty well on the road travelling with his band and hanging shit on each other. “Now though, it seems I’ve sacrificed any chance of even getting them into the car in the first place, let alone pulling off a sick burn” he conceded.

“Whatever. They’ll never get a car like this at the price I got this one. I was pretty lucky. The mileage is crazy low. I might the 17th owner but it’s only 5 years old and it’s spent 4 of those years over the car yard!”
