After only just releasing the 2020 version of Tina Turner’s, Simply the Best, to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the iconic NRL promotion, the game has today revealed to The Advocate that they’ve already got another cracker tune lined up to promote the 2021 season.

“Bro, you won’t believe the tuna sandwich we have lined up for 2021,” said the game’s Executive Creative Director (ECD) said to our female reporter.

“We don’t even know if the NRL season will get played in full this year, but it’ll definitely be back next year bigger and stronger than ever, you know why? Because every bloke in the NRL is a survivor – Australians are survivors,” the ECD continued, clearly leading into something.

“Because we’ll be playing even against the advice of all medical professionals and authorities because we are putting our financial above the safety of our players and their families.”

“That’s why the 2021 NRL campaign will be blasting the mighty Destiny’s Child’s ‘I’m A Survivor’”

At this point, the ECD actually dropped a pretend microphone, before continuing to explain his vision a little more.

“Imagine, the track is slowed down, tackles punctuate each beat – it’ll be fucking glorious”

At the time of press, the future of the 2020 Premiership was still in question with the federal government’s suspension of all public gatherings of more than 500 people.

The future is still unknown readers, stay vigilant.

More to come.
