In disturbing reports emerging from Betoota’s downtown entertainment district, it’s believed a group of co- workers are being tortured this evening, as a psychopathic boss attempts to inspire some positive work culture.

As music blares from a nearby ten-pin bowling alley, it’s alleged 12 employees from Circle Back Communications have been forced into a lifeless torture chamber, also known as an ‘Escape Room’, as part of the companies wish to bring the team closer together.

Attempting solve an hour-long riddle whilst poking around in a dark ‘Zombie Hospital’ themed room, The Advocate understands the feeling of being stuck in a soulless void of distress very much mirrors the feeling of working at the inner city media agency, which has a reputation of overworking it’s staff and being a little shady on its payroll duties.

Speaking to one employee at the firm, Junior Account Executive Lucy Feeton, it’s believed tonight’s social occasion was mandated fun to all employees, despite the fact everyone would rather be spending their free-time socialising with their own friends or family who they rarely see thanks to working late on most evenings.

“It’s bullshit, none of us want to be here,” Lucy told our reporter, whilst searching inside a locker for another clue scribbled on some parchment.

“We work 50+ hours a week, under the thumb of a boss who takes his dictatorship skills directly from Elon’s playbook, everyone wants to leave this binfire of an organisation.”

“Not to mention the boss is making us pay for our own drinks and brought us here on a Tuesday cos it’s cheaper for the company.”

“It’d be better for our collective mental health if they gave us the night off to update our LinkedIn profiles if I’m honest.”

More to come.
