An Australian podcast listener tuning into a lighthearted recount of a violent crime has once again been disgusted by the American host’s inability to say an Australian town name correctly.

While listening to the US true crime podcast The Real Scranton Stranglers, a podcast about real murders that parallel plot points from the US Office, Betootan Kirilee Vert (25) said she was initially excited to hear the hosts would be discussing an Australian crime this week.

However, that excitement soon turned to bile in her mouth as it became immediately clear that the hosts were going to butcher Australian town names worse than the actual killer butchered all those women.

“They kept saying Bat-hurst,” stated Vert, outraged that the podcast hosts would treat our nation’s racing and vodka raspberry capital like a joke.

“That wasn’t even the worst one. They said ‘Bay-toota’, ‘Mel-born’ and even said that Wollongong looks like a nice place to visit!”

MORE TO COME.
