At age thirty-two, Betoota Heights local Lauren Gordon has finally made the plunge to get a studio apartment of her own.

After a decade of renting with numerous people, including a seven-person share house where someone once shaved their pubes in the sink, Lauren was ready for her own space to call home.

Which meant she could listen to music as loud as she wanted, have as many torrid affairs without judgement, and of course, decorate exactly how she always envisioned.

So far, this has included spending an eye-watering amount on an L shaped lounge and getting a kitten – the latter, admittedly she was a little concerned about, considering she didn’t have a partner and it could be a slippery slope.

Adding the occasional piece of furniture here and there, Lauren was able to craft her ideal creative spirit environment, perfect for fostering musical inspiration and what was sure to be many dinner parties. If she couldn’t ever get all her friends to commit to a night that is.

But after spending so much time, effort and Pinterest pages planning her ideal look, Lauren found herself feeling as though something was missing – a certain feminine essence, if you will.

As she looks around her living room and tries to figure out the finishing touch, Lauren is suddenly met with a burst of inspiration, prompting her to rifle in her cupboards and produce several glasses of water.

Taking a sip out of each one, Lauren peppers them throughout the space, including her bedside table, next to the toilet, the coffee table and randomly spilled over on the sunroom floor.

More to come.
