Year 12 graduate Drew Dandle (17) has managed to make quite a name for himself during the alcohol-soaked coming of age ritual that is schoolies on the Gold Coast.

This week on the podcast, we sat down with John Safran to talk about the countless entertainment he’s provided to the nation and plenty more. Listen here:

After making friends with the schoolies group in the room above them, inventing the multi-story beer bong and not dying, Dandle cemented himself as a schoolies legend and definitely the sort of person who will need cheering up at the school reunion.

Following a few days of ‘burning the Dandle at both ends,’ Dandle’s mates have witnessed an activity that has thrown his bad-boy image into disarray.

“He was helping his mum with the shopping,” stated friend Eric Calhoon.

“On the weekend he was haggling with backpackers over the price of tabs, now his mums helping load up on resources for the next few days.”

“Why is she even here?”

According to Dandle, he is still the same loose unit and icon of his generation his mates saw on the weekend.

“Just cause mum’s sorting me out with some good food doesn’t mean I can’t still be a badass. You need proof, I’ll skull this fucking TED right now.”
