Housing Downturn Starts To Bite After Real Estate Conference Subs Pure Blonde In For Peronis

The concerns surrounding the housing climate just got very real this afternoon, as real estate agents from around the country were given a rude shock.

That shock came in the form of a beverage change at the National Real Estate Conference at Betoota’s Convention Centre a short time ago.

After a tough week opening doors, the attendees at the conference were all looking forward to ‘knocking the top off a couple of Ronies,’ chatting about how much they were all killing it, and exchanging business cards despite the fact there is no reason to do so.

However, the agents were all shocked when they were informed by venue staff that Peronis had been replaced by Pure Blondes this year, citing financial reasons.

Unsurprisingly, the move has angered many attendees, some who have flown into Betoota from places like Adelaide and Sydney.

“It’s pretty stiff,” explained Col Owen.

“And it really goes against the first rule of the industry, never, ever, admit that the market isn’t doing well.”

“I haven’t sold a place down in Sydney for nearly 3 weeks. But I sure as shit am still telling every single person I speak to that the market is actually ticking along nicely despite what the papers say.”

“Disappointing. Very disappointing.”
