The Immigration office has been urged to look into whether or not American comedian Arj Barker is a permanent Australian resident, after literally 15 years on non-stop appearances on TV panels and at Comedy Galas.

The 43-year-old joins a long list of overseas celebrities – including P!nk, The Madden Brothers and Ricky Martin – who literally wouldn’t need to tour anywhere else in the world because they seem to get so much work in Australia.

Local stand up comedy enthusiast, Sierra, says she has seen over 100 Arj Barker stand up sets in her lifetime on both Youtube and in real life – however, none of them have taken place outside of Australia.

“I guess he’s just one of ours now. I mean, he manages to swing and hit so why bother anywhere else?”

However it is believed that the New Zealanders are also asking themselves the same question, after copping the tail-end of his international tours for many years now.

“He wus so gid in the Flhight of the Cincirds” said one local Kiwi.

“He really gets the Kiwi sense of humour”

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton has not yet commented on the status of Arj Barker’s visa status, but has confirmed that if he has done this all legally, then he must be flat chat with travel documents.
