A moderately unpopular local man named Arlo Hilton has revealed to The Advocate the wave of relief that has rolled over him today.

The commercial real estate agent from our Betoota Heights district explained that he can’t wait to have some financial relief from the government.

“It’s good to know the Labor Party is looking after battlers like me,” explained the man who will pull in 195,000 Australian rubles this year.

“The 195 dollars in tax relief I’ll receive is really going to take the pressure off my bottom line,” continued Arlo in between bites of his $85 steak.

“Obviously it won’t get me a bag, but it will halve the price of my next one,” he laughed.

The man who drives a company leased 2021 Range Rover said Labor’s commitment to the Stage Three tax cuts which will cost the country 248 billion dollars over the next decade and only realistically benefit the top 10% of the population – is welcome cost of living relief.

“Tax cuts stimulate the economy,” explained Hilton in spite of the fact someone on $45,000 a year will receive no tax relief (because they received tax breaks in the previous stages).

“It’s actually fiscally responsible when you think about it.”

“Like, I’ll flush this money straight back into the economy.”

“And I think it’s better to spend the 248 billion on tax cuts for people like me who are really struggling, rather than spend it solving the housing crisis and driving down the prices of houses.”

“It’s a no brainer.”
