Former Prime Minister Uncle Tone Deaf has today been criticised for showing an uncharacteristic lack of respect for his elders, following his most recent senior moment.

The outgoing Member of Warringah has been criticised for a “tasteless” tribute to Bob Hawke, who he described as having a “Labor heart but a Liberal head”.

Mr Hawke died aged 89 last night, and Uncle Tone Deaf posted a statement describing Mr Hawke as “Labor’s greatest prime minister”, before taking a swipe at his political opponents.

This comes as the respected Northern Beaches community elder prepares himself for a transition into new employment opportunities.

Uncle Tony’s dedicated work as a white man patronisingly applying band-aid solutions to deeply entrenched social disadvantage in the Aboriginal community has been recognised around the country, ever since he gave a conditional yes to taking on the job of the Federal Government’s Indigenous envoy.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison did not ask Mr Abbott to be a minister in his new Government, but instead asked him to take on the role of envoy, citing his close association with Aboriginal Australia after growing up in a six bedroom mansion in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and working for the Liberal Party for nearly three decades.

However, after these comments, the punch-drunk Member For Warringah now looks even more likely to be unemployed in next 24 hours – and even less employable when it happens.

It is believed that Uncle Tone Deaf may have been jealous about the fact that another old white ex-Prime Minister looks to be remembered as a better friend to the blackfellas than he ever was – despite being their lord and saviour within the Coalition government.
