The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have today launched a campaign that is likely to have yet another obscure Australian demographic up in arms.
The campaign in question is one that chastises people for Animal Shaming, an act where one person uses a cat or dog as a means to insult another person, a practice particularly common in prisons.
Speaking to the Advocate earlier, Angel Bloom, the campaign’s leader, said that this blatant disrespect for animals’ feelings has been going on for too long and she couldn’t just sit back and hear it happen.
“Imagine if someone was using your name in a derogatory way, how do you think you’d feel?”
“Let me tell you, you’d feel hurt. Just like these helpless, voiceless four-legged fury angels”
“That’s why we’re proposing an on the spot fine of $150 for anyone heard using cat or dog as a means to insult someone”
While only in its early stages, the PETA campaign already has a number of Betoota ex-cons absolutely fuming about the proposition.
“What kind of dumb dog could dream up such bullshit?” One man angrily said.
“Fuckin cats”

The Advocate has secured some of the terms PETA are proposing to have made illegal; dog cunts, fucking cat, dumb dog, dog slut, fuckin’ dog – just to name a few. We’ll share more when we have the full list.
