A trusty surgical mask has today notched up an incredible milestone.

Nearly 6 months after first being purchased, the cheap disposable mask has achieved its 100th start.

The notable achievement came this morning after local city woman Erica Wills realised once again that she had forgotten to get a reusable mask.

Catching the bus into the Old City District for the 2nd office day of her week, Erica sighed and pulled out the old piece of shit mask that has half a container of makeup on it, and whacked it on again.

“It is what it is, here comes another whitehead,” said Erica today, motioning to the now nearly coated mask in front of her.

“This thing has certainly served as value for money,” explained the young lady who has sworn she will get a new mask at least twice a week for the last couple of months.

“I can’t believe the straps on it are still going strong on it.”

“The other ones just busted.”

“But hey, at least I’m wearing a mask, unlike some of the other people on public transport around here.”

“Or the woman this morning who had her nose poking out of the mask.”

“Anyway, I’ll get a new one this weekend. I swear.”
