In a gesture of aggressive generosity, retiree Constantine Baros (85) stopped by his neighbours house in the Betoota Flight Path district to ask if they needed 10kgs of zucchini.

“I have too much,” stated Baros, as he wheeled a bucket of zucchinis down his neighbours footpath, not really giving them a choice on whether to accept the vegetables or not.

“What you don’t use today, you use tomorrow.”

Baros takes great pride in his backyard garden which generates enough produce to power a small Greek family of 30.

Ever since moving in next door to Baros, the sharehouse residents state they have received their combined weight in homegrown produce whether they wanted it or not.

“When he showed up today with the zucchini I was pretty sure he wasn’t giving us a choice so I took some but he kept telling me to take more until there was none left,” stated one resident who was acting pretty high and mighty for a guy who instantly pretended the biggest zucchini was his penis.

“He then said he’d come back with some more. No one answer the door OK, our fridge will not be able to handle it if you do.”

“He doesn’t speak much English, I invited my Greek mate around so they could talk and he couldn’t understand him either. I think he just talks in veges, I think vegetables is his language.”

At the time of writing the sharehouse have no idea what they will do with the 10kgs of zucchini Baros dropped off but are considering going through a paleo phase in order to use up the zucchini and the mountain of cauliflower Baros will drop off once it’s in season.
