One of Betoota Height’s most slept-on social commentators, Jimmy Harnett (34) thinks he might have found the right format this week.

In his fifth attempt at launching a podcast, it seems this open-minded suburban white boy might have finally stumbled across the right blend of light entertainment and heavy-hitting real-life-shit.

Ever since he first stumbled across long form audio files of The Ricky Gervais Show in the early 2010s, Jimmy has never lost sight of his dream of doing nothing but recording two 3-hour poddies a week and watching sport for the rest of his life.

As his taste for the opinions grumpy Gen-X comedians matured, Jimmy eventually found himself hooked on Rogan: The final boss for young men who enjoy expanding their minds with in-depth conversations about dangerous ideas, but don’t want to venture into Jordan Peterson levels of white male victimhood.

However, like most Rogan Bros, Jimmy can’t help but dream about a world where it’s him hosting these interesting discussions – on a podcast of his own, one thats very similar.

His newest venture, titled Talkin’ NBA and Life (with Jimmy) has today notched three episodes, a feat that is seldom achieved by 90% of the world’s white boy podcasters.

On top of that, he’s already offered his two cents on ‘Cancel Culture’ (episode 2) and Lebron’s legacy (episode 1) – with these two fascinating topics already out the shute, Jimmy has proven that he’s got what it take to tip toe around culturally sensitive topics, without shying around from saying things that might not be considered ‘woke’ in this day and age.

And now that he’s broken through the infamous 3-episode barrier, it’s time to debut his new artwork of a cartoon basketball that he has commissioned someone on AirTasker to put together for $60 AUD.

But first he needs to scour his social media footprint to remove all signs of the last four podcasts he tried to get off the ground – especially the ones that he was co-hosting with mates, most of whom are persona non grata due to creative differences.

All feed back of the new poddie has been overwhelmingly positive, with both his mates from basketball and his misso giving him a big thumbs up for sound quality.

Episode 4 of Talkin’ NBA and Life (with Jimmy) is expected to be a ripper, as the recently engaged South Betoota interior designer offers his raw and honest opinion on the ever evolving conversations around trans-rights.
