Although a federal election is still a year and a half away, the Greens Party of Australia realise they have as much chance of winning one tomorrow as they do when the time comes.

Due to the fact they are really never ever going form a majority government (seriously, prove me wrong) the best they can hope to do is come up with the a few good ideas and a few hare brained ones.

The latest idea the Greens have dreamed up, or policy in political terms, is that if elected everyone will get some money for free.

“Yep, I can see that working for them,” stated a Betoota Uni student from a fringe political group called the Young Nihilists, who we interviewed.

“Let’s be honest, the thing the Greens are best at is making us feel like we don’t live in a country with a two party system.”

“The thing that they are second best at is getting Labor and Liberal to agree on something, mostly, how much they both hate the Greens.”

“Third best? They give Murdoch journalists some juicy targets for when they really want to criticise a politician.”

“Fourth best? I mean, they care about renters, the housing crisis, and giving everyone free dental, that’s good.”

“Oh! And the environment! I’m always forgetting about the environment, I’m so Aussie like that.”
