Arguably the greatest showperson since Elvis has nodded pensively to the elephant in the room this morning and ditched private jets for a much greener option.

Pennsylvanian anthem belter, Alecia Moore (better known by stage name P!NK), announced today that her tour will stop using private and chartered jets in favour for an intricate set of wires and cables that will criss-cross the globe.

It’s not just P!NK being flung dangerously from city to city, her entire entourage and touring staff will be coming along for the ride, too.

Not even the death of tech Jim Pyke, who died after a cable broke on the Adelaide to Perth leg of the wire transit, has been enough for the American’s promoter to second guess the decision.

Mr Pyke, a rather obese guitar tech from Toowoomba, was killed when a cable let go over Ceduna leaving him to fall limply onto the Eyre Highway at close to terminal velocity. Witnesses knew he was dead because his shoes flew off in the impact.

Nevertheless, support has come from her sanctimonious leftie fans regardless of how dangerous it might be for people unfit to be transported by cable.

Local hornbag and P!NK enjoyer, Recky Lix, explained to The Advocate that this is just another example of how down to earth the rockstar is.

“I don’t mean down to earth, like what happened to Jim Pyke, that was tragic, I mean she’s just a normal person that happens to have an extraordinary job,” explained the Betoota Heights hairdresser.

“Like how she sang that acoustic version of Lady Marmalade for Jim at Perth, while flying upside down and playing the last guitar he tuned for her. Her Maton SRS70J Jumbo that’s emblazoned with the famous ‘This Machine Kills Party Poopers’ writing,”

“And now she’s gone green by ditching her private jets. Unlike you know who…. It’s just another reason to love P!NK. She’s the best singer in the world.”

More to come.
