Though he has his suspicions, Greg Tanner (24) remains unaware that the messages he’s receiving from another local woman are the product of three minds working as one.

Wanda Hartog has recruited the help of two close friends, Amy and Milly, who’ve compiled their collective boy knowledge to help the 24-year-old fashion industry worker crack Greg’s nut.

At first, it was slow. Each message went through three draft stages and they were either shorter, or just as long as long as Greg’s.

However, as the turn around got tighter and the language got looser, the girls began to panic.

“I don’t think he’s onto us yet,” said Amy. “But we think it’s going well. The 6-hour gap between messages is down to a few minutes now. He’s greased up enough for us to hand the reigns over to Wanda from here on.”

Amy’s sentiments were echoed by Milly, who said there were periods of panic and moments of sheer ecstasy in the campaign, but the results speak for themselves.

“This is something we’ve all worked hard for,” said Milly. “After we worked out where his office was, we twisted his arm enough to get a lunch date down the road from where he works. Next Wednesday’s the day.”

Wanda is equally pleased with the outcome, stating that things would’ve fizzled out a long time ago if it wasn’t for the help she received from her favourite gal pals. Though this isn’t the first time she’s needed their help decoding the XY enigma code, she enlisted the best for Operation Greg.

“A good outcome, to say the least,” she said.

“Greggy doesn’t give you very much, he doesn’t mince his words. He’s also very matter of fact and to the point. That’s something we can all agree on. I’m very excited to see where this goes!”

On the inverse, Greg is unaware that each message he’s received from Ms Hartog is the creation of multiple minds, but there’s every chance he doesn’t care.

“I dunno, I’ll give her a chance. I thought she’d be a good avenue to explore after she told me that she hated the new Blink-182 album because Tom’s not on it. I thought that was pretty neat. I might Snapchat her something mundane and disinteresting later on – just to keep me in her thoughts. Classic move, brus,” he said.

“But yeah, if it ends in a chop, whatever. If it doesn’t, whatever.”
