The Morrison Government has lashed out at the ABC this morning after images of Health Minister Greg Hunt out of his skinsuit were ‘accidentally’ broadcast during the network’s breakfast news programme.

It comes after a heated confrontation between the ABC’s Michael Rowland and Mr Hunt yesterday over the use of the Liberal Party logo on official press releases regarding the spicy cough jab.

Communications Minister Paul Fletcher phoned ABC boss David Anderson moments after the images of Mr Hunt in his reptilian form were shown to ABC viewers.

“This is completely unacceptable and offensive to humanoid reptilians around Australia,” Mr Fletcher said.

“Greg Hunt is one of the highest-profile lizard people in the country and to broadcast images of him completely naked like the ABC did this morning isn’t in just bad taste, it’s illegal according to the Attorney-General,”

“The Government demands an apology from the ABC and we may even seek damages on behalf of Mr Hunt.”

The Office of the Health Minister has yet to respond to the controversy but it’s understood by The Advocate that Mr Hunt is taking the news in his stride and remains focused on his goal of making sure all Australians have access to the Ruby Princess Lung Bug that’s still going around.

More to come.
