March 8 marks International Women’s Day, a date where 90% of businesses appreciate 50% of the population for 0.003% of the year.

The campaign theme for 2023 IWD is #EmbraceEquity, a theme being embraced by the male staff at Old City District business real estate agency Contusion & Sons.

As boss Wilbur Contusion (66) invited staff to ‘the gals’ afternoon tea to mark IWD, Wilbur cut slices of a frosted chocolate cake he baked himself from scratch after buying from the nearest bakery.

“Come on grab a slice, not you Wayne, it’s ladies first today!”

During the mandatory cake consumption, Wilbur then let ‘the ladies’ know that they wouldn’t have to lift a finger today as it is ‘the boys’ turn to have a go at the washing up.

“Come on fellas, I’m serious, do these dishes, it will take five minutes, probably.”

With a fit of the giggles not seen since paintball at Micko’s bucks, the three men who didn’t self combust when asked to do a bit of tidying picked up the dirtied plates, rolled up their sleeves and actually did the dishes lol!

By chucking the paper plates in the bin.

“Can you believe there are people who do this every day?”

“I had a dishwasher growing up, we called her mum!”
