One of our French Quarter residents is a very happy man this morning, it can be confirmed.

Brett Wilson is feeling particularly content and pleased with himself after seeing the 200th like roll in just 24 hours after whacking his Triathlon shot up on Instagram.

The 31-year-old finance guy who maintains he isn’t having an early midlife crisis, told The Advocate this morning that he actually broke his PB at the Betoota Lake Triathlon yesterday.

“Not the actual time I got over the finish line in, but the time between finishing and posting a pic of myself up on the Gram,” he laughed.

“Had the caption lined up ready to go, and then got my girlfriend to airdrop the photo immediately,” said the man after finishing the event which saw over 2,000 people from around town and the state take part in the swim, bike, and run event.

“Was raking in the likes less than 60 seconds after getting over the finish line,” he laughed.

“Pretty funny caption too, when you tri your best and you do succeed,” he said giggling.

“Like the Coldplay song, but with tri instead of try.”

“Was gonna go for something about Sunday’s done right, but I thought I’d do a bit of a funny one. Anyway, really great result in the end.”
