SWATHES OF CHILDREN ARE receiving counselling and thousands of other ordinary Australians were “extremely creeped out” by footage broadcast by the Seven Network that showed Oscar Pistorius walking around on his nubs.

Originally aired on Seven’s investigative journalism program Sunday Night, the highly confronting images of the disgraced athlete sent a shockwave through homes around the country.

Ally McDonald was watching the show with her husband and two school-aged children when they were “shocked” and “disturbed” by the way Pistorius moves around without his prosthetic legs.

“My husband had to have a shower after watching it,” she said.

“My youngest vomited almost immediately. As soon as I smelled it, I vomited too. Now we have to get the cleaners in to do the carpet. We had spag bol for dinner and it just won’t come out,”

“Seven should’ve put a warning at the start so people could prepare themselves. I mean, fuck me dead, I feel sick just replaying it in my head right now.”

Mrs McDonald wasn’t the only person left “utterly revolted” by the footage.

The social media backlash against the producers at Sunday Night was swift and brutal.

One Twitter user wrote that he’d rather watch senator-elects Pauline Hanson and Derryn Hinch make out in a nightclub toilet than watch Oscar Pistorius walk around on his nubs again.

Another user on Facebook pondered if he has to buy special socks for his nubs, or did they smell like a foot at the end of the day?

More to come.
