A Betoota Heights woman is today considering a huge challenge, after a big weekend of DIY.

Lisa Tran says she’s considering putting her life on hold for 6 months, and applying for a chance to go on The Block.

“I honestly reckon the hubby and I would be good on there,” laughed Lisa this afternoon.

Popular year after year, the reality show features colourful characters who fight with their partners and other contestants while an army of tradies work around the clock to complete the ambitious renovation projects.

“Look at the paint job I did on the guest bedroom,” explained Lisa, completing her second DIY job this year.

“I mean, I’ve been reading a few home design magazines and I’m kind of thinking of managing our own renovations next year.”

“Cutting out the builder would save us a serious amount of cash, and I’m pretty sure I can handle the different tradies and bits and pieces.”

“Anyway, the Block would be a good spring board for us re-designing our dream home.”

Lisa explained that she’s pretty comfortable she can handle the different pressures the Block will throw at her.

“And I mean obviously me and the hubby are pretty funny,” she said.

“He’s such a big doofus and I’m really quick-witted so it would be such good TV.”

“Anyway, I’ll put the application and you’ll see me on the idiot box in a few months.”

More to come.
