An owner of two X chromosomes just cut her way a little closer to womanhood today by debuting an absolute disaster of a self chopped fringe.

First seen walking into the kitchen looking a bit like a 1980s secretary who had just survived an attack from a bird of prey, Betoota Heights High student Arabella Court (15) debuted to her family the John Howard fast bowl of haircuts.

And mum Miriam Court (44) could not be prouder.

According to the younger Court, Arabella waited in her room for three hours before showing her mum her handy work, during which time she tried to fix her botched fringe and convince herself none of this was real.

“Oh dear, look at you,” stated Miriam, looking upon her daughter with the type of proud smile usually reserved for award presentations.

“What a disastrous gorgeous horrible beauty you are my darling dud-chop.”

“My girl is growing up.”

Having once herself been the recipient of a self-inflicted topographical fringe, Miriam endeavoured to tidy her daughter’s fringe which was later revealed to be a ruse in order to spend time bonding with her.

“So…who is he possum?”

MORE TO COME.
