Prime Minister Morrison has today begun exploring new ways to keep tabs on his renegade Nationals backbencher Barnaby Joyce MP, after the Member For New England outright refused to take part in digital COVID-19 tracking measures.

The twice former Deputy Prime Minister is today leading the charge of federal politicians refusing to download a mobile phone app to trace people in contact with coronavirus cases.

Speaking today Australia’s anti-expert propaganda arm, Sunrise, Mr Joyce says he’d been “doing his own research” on the app, before then admitting he hadn’t spoken to any government officials about it.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the app will not be mandatory, but admits at least 40 per cent of the population needs to use it for it to be effective.

However, Morrison has already made a point of telling Barnaby Joyce that he will not be required to take part in the app, as the government has already implemented measures to track his wherabouts in the New England region of North West NSW.

By installing CCTV cameras at every drive thru bottle shop in Tamworth and Armidale, the government has managed to safely document up to 90% of Barnaby Joyce’s travel outside of his two households.

Morrison says he also has Greg from the Tamworth TAB on speed dial in case Barnaby feels like punting outside of the six online betting apps that already have all of his personal details anyway.

“We’ve also set up CCTV cameras down at industrial estates where Barnaby is known to cut hoops after half a carton of VB”

“That and KFC obviously. Didn’t know they serve breakfast at KFC but you learn something new every day with the power of technology”
