Australia’s hipster community have today clarified that you aren’t imagining it, and yes their sunnies are getting smaller.

This follows yesterdays report of cultural appropriation within the surfer-hipster community, as Greek fishermen accuse Triple J hottest 100 winners Ocean Alley of cultural appropriation.

However, even with Greek fisherman hats, train driver hats, jelly sandals and birkenstocks becoming common place amongst Australian youth – the only fashion statement of 2019 that doesn’t appear cyclical is the narrow sunnies.

Possibly inspired by the 1999 science fiction action film ‘The Matrix’ starring Hugo Weaving and Keanu Reeves – the thin sunnies are now a staple within the trendy inner-city enclaves of West End and Newtown, and most of Melbourne.

However, a spokesperson for the nation’s hipster chicks says we ain’t seen nothing yet.

Tash Dunham from LENA (Leftie Enclave Networking Association) says that by 2020, we can expect to see much thinner sunnies on the nation’s hipster chicks.

“We vow to go much more narrow with our sunnies” says

“You can basically expect to see us in monocles. Like our actual eyeballs will be visible on the outside of the frame”
