Former controversial rapper, Eminem, has made his way into headlines and tweets across the country, after releasing his 10th studio album Kamikaze on Thursday night US time, sending Twitter into an absolute frenzy.

Despite zero promotion or forewarning, the album has been met with a lot of immediate hype, as his fanbase reacquaint themselves with the aggressive enemy-making rap star they used to love.

Albeit, no longer able to claim being an ‘angry young man’ – Eminem has wowed everyone with his ability to still be such a smart arse as he rapidly approaches the big five oh.

While the album features a noticeable lack of his psychopathic alias, Slim Shady, it does appear more earnest that last year’s Revival.

In perhaps the most clear example of a return to Eminem’s honest and raw lyricism of yesteryear, the 45-year-old has taken the opportunity to ‘diss’ any recording artists who has tattoos and nice clothes, because they aren’t showing respect for the predominantly African-American art form known as hip hop, like he did when he was coming up, as trailer trash white boy who used to rap about his mummy issues and wear superhero costumes.

In fact, the iconic hip hop artist that collaborated with Ed Sheeran on a love song last year last year is so angry that he’s decided to call everyone out by name, and drug preferences.

“I can see why people like Lil Yachty, but not me though
Not even dissin’, it just ain’t for me
All I am simply is just an emcee
Maybe “Stan” just isn’t your cup of tea
Maybe your cup’s full of syrup and lean”  writes Eminem, in a passively indirect hit towards the new brand of soundcloud rappers.

The Betoota Advocate reached out to Ed Sheeran for comment but he was too busy writing love songs over a cheeky Nandos.
