The nation is today celebrating its newest Gold Medalist, after Cooper Woods took home the biggest prize on offer at the Winter Olympics.
The 25-year-old shredder shocked audiences and the snow sport community overnight, by coming from the clouds to win the Men's Mogul.
With a superb run in Livigno, Woods becomes Australia's first Gold Medalist at this games, and the 7th to ever do it for the Green and Gold.
The stunning feat is made even more impressive by the fact he was ranked as a pretty heavy outsider going into the event.
"Fucking oath," said a spokesperson for the gold medalist's home town of Pambula, just outside of Merimbula.
"That's our guy."
"From the Sapphire Coast to the peaks of the Winter Olympics in Livigno, the hometown boy's done good."
"And if you think his mogul's run was impressive, wait till you see him out on the real skis..."
"Shredding up on Merimbula Lake out the back of the boat."
"Get the camera's on that mate."
"Nah, how good, stoked for him and the family."
"Unreal achievement."
