A sweaty moment of exhausted passion has ended in cramps this weekend, after a mammoth weekend in Noosa.

With the Sunshine Coast of Queensland and the South Coast of NSW hosting their respective triathlon and running festivals over the weekend, a significant number of courting displays have been reported.

The back area of the Huskisson Hotel and the front bar of the Noosa Surf Life Saving Club were two noted hotspots for the courting process of post endurance event athletes - who were looking to exert one last release of physical energy.

Like the mating displays of the antechinus, a large number of horny triathletes and runners have reportedly been involved in sexual jaunts that have nearly left their bodies so depleted they started giving out.

One such temporary couple were Brit Thien and Harley Dawson, who had linked up a couple of hours ago, before being painfully broken apart by the gut wrenching pain of muscular cramp.

"Yeah, turns out cycling 40ks and then running 10 before consuming 10 alcoholic beverages in direct sunlight and trying to do the horizontal Irish jig as the sun sets is not ideal," laughed Brit.

"Both of us went down in a moment of extreme cramp," she laughed.

"Which kind of ruined the mood."

Harley confirmed he tried to bringing it back, but the constant pinging of his hamstring the moment he didn't have his leg dead straight apparently took some heat out of the moment.

"Yeah I needed some pickle juice or something," he sighed.

"Initially I was worried Brit thought I'd jumped the starter's gun, but then I saw her calf contorting like it was filled with 3 or 4 freshwater eels."

"Ah well, I guess we'll try again next year."
