Victorian Premier Ben Carroll Announces Free Petrol Starting Yesterday Ending Yesterday

Victorian Premier Ben Carroll is reportedly kicking himself after driving away from a petrol station without paying this week - which he later quickly paid for.

After taking on the top job a few months ago, Carroll has struggled to get Victorians onside despite proposing a vast range of cost of living relief measures.

But that might be set to change as big bad Ben has introduced some interesting retroactive policy that might just get him off the hook.

“I would like to kick this press conference off as I always do, I am not Daniel Andrews”

“Now with that formality out of the way, I would like to announce yet another cost of living measure that saved a Victorian man $118.80 at the bowser yesterday”

"Well Monday to be exact, but the policy was enforced briefly yesterday."

“Starting yesterday and having also ended yesterday Victorians can fill up and drive off, no string attached," he said sternly.

“Let me be clear”

“A man in Niddrie filled up his thirsty BMW got back in his car and drove off”

“That man is thankful for a tank full,” he said quite pleased with himself.

A confused press pack continued to hound the Premier but he didn’t budge.

“I am proud of the cost of living relief that my government have introduced”

“Caps on tolls road, caps on public transport”

“And yesterday, and yesterday only, free petrol,” he said.

More to come.
