As the new NRL season rapidly approaches, many have awoken today to eagerly watch the new NRL promotional video.

From those who love the game of rugby league and it’s widespread appeal, to those who love whinging about political correctness and things not being the same as they were 30 years ago, the new commercial has certainly got tongues wagging.

While plenty have praised the NRL for promoting inclusivity and paying tribute to players who have dared to show character, stand up for what they believe in, show off their culture and values, others have been quick to slam the organisation for ‘jumping on the PC bandwagon.’

“Why can’t they just promote the game to people who are already going to watch it regardless of what happens, by just playing the same old biggest hits compilation of cunts giving each other CTE,” explained Shawn from Ipswich today.

“I’ll probably get a knock on the door from the PC Police for saying this, but why can’t we just leave politics out of the game, ya know,” explained the man who has spent four years undermining his local club footy captain cause he thinks he’s a fuckwit.

It’s not yet known why Shawn thinks the promotional video aimed at growing the game and culture around the game should just feature the same old shit like the Tubthumping, ‘I get knocked down, but I get up again’ video featuring brain-rattling hits.

“Just play the hits.”
