Dolphins Fans Walking Around Like They Own The City

In some breaking news from the world’s premiere River City, Dolphins fans are currently walking around like they own the joint.

This comes as the Phins prepare to take on the Wahs across the ditch, in the club’s first ever finals game.

Making the journey to Mt Smart for the historic first ever knockout fixture, there’s a spot in the Prelim up for grabs for the two teams widely liked by most NRL neutrals.

The loser will get another bite at the cherry next week, against the winners of the Knights and the Bunnies, but of course both sets of fans are hoping they won’t need it.

As a result of the tantalising prospect, a wave of Phins Up movements and weird dolphin noise have been recorded across the South East Corner and up the Sunny Coast.

Local man Kallangur Rothwell, who was spotted walking on sunshine through Queen Street Mall in his heritage Phins jersey confirmed that it is a rather good time to be a fan of the Delphinidae team.

“Yeah, we do own the city,” he laughed, while heading down for a kick off schooner on the river.

“Brisbane is ours.”

“And for anyone who wants to argue about it, we won the Battle For Brisbane.”

“So the right to say whatever we want is ours.”

“Anyway, we’ve got bigger ambitions than that.”

“See ya in the first week of October.”

 “Every First Led Here.”

“PHINNSSSSSS UP.”
