A new day has dawned on Western democracy this week, according to local terrace house resident Andy Smith-Thomson.

The excitable French Quarter man has today confirmed to The Advocate that WOKE IS FUCKING BACK.

While notable left-wing victories in places like Brazil and Serbia have certainly sent shockwaves around the globe, Smith-Thomson said it is the US mid-terms that have finally ended the right-wing's populist rise.

Despite Donald Trump still remaining President, and now backed into a corner where he should keep ignoring and skirting around congress - the young creative agency culture shaper says the blue wave has signalled the end of MAGA.

"Lawyer up motherfuckers," said Thomson off the bat to our reporters, seemingly referencing the Republicans who he thinks are actually going to be sent to jail for participating in the blatant and widespread corruption plaguing the Trump administration.

"The new era is here," continued the man who might be underestimating the effect of Americans having to pay more for things because of a war they shouldn't have started.

"We the first Muslim in the US senate. We got the first Black female Governor, we got the first Latino/Latina governors in huge states. We got rugby red states swinging Blue. We got the first openly Gay man in the senate and the first Native American woman in the Senate."

"And we gonna lock these mutha fuckerrrss up" said the man who is not a citizen of America, and seemingly unaware that the Democratic machine is going to take credit for America's complete apathy to global conflict until it effects how much diesel they can put in their oversized trucks and how much corn syrup infused food they can put on the table, and ice the Democratic Socialists out of any decision making to ensure a Gavin Newsom of Kamala Harris has a smooth run to a clean election win, that then protects the financial interests that control said powerful machine, and we end up with an even more disenfranchised and dangerous American political situation.
