The Betoota arm of the CSIRO has proved it's worth once again today, after making a stunning discovery.
The demography unit of the critically underfunded scientific body have revealed they've discovered the first ever South African born person that actually has a sense of humour.
That stunning discovery comes after the unit was tipped off about a Joburg born man by the name of Ruan Smith, who reportedly is quite the funny man.
After politely requesting Smith come in for some studies, the local Bunnings employee reportedly brought the house down.
"Lekker my bru," said one of the researchers, doing his best Jarpie accent.
"I genuinely couldn't believe it."
"Greeting him, we immediately decided to hit him with a light hearted sledge about his puffer vest, and he responded with a self deprecating joke about being a wanker."
"At that point, we kind of knew we were on to something special."
"And from there he kept blowing us away."
"He laughed about his job, his kids and then when we stress tested him on the Sprinboks and Rassie Erasmus he just laughed it off."
"Truly truly stunning."
The discovery is believed to be the first of its kind globally, with the news expected to make shockwaves around the world.
More to come.
