A woman in Betoota’s French Quarter has today sent shockwaves across the nation after revealing she usually just picks a word at random to be her password.
Zara Payne (28) had been registering for a new account with some random app that provides sketchy discounts when it prompted her to select a new password, and repeat it twice.
“Hmmmmm,” she said, mentally running through all the options she could pick.
Considering the young woman had never owned a dog, there was almost nothing in the English dictionary off limits.
Though the majority of the nation likely has passwords that resemble something like Buddy123, there’s a small, niche part of the population that just has random passwords even the most prolific hackers could never infiltrate.
“I guess I could do Apple12. Because I love apples and I’m born on the 12th of January.”
“Ooh or I could do, wait let me think. How about, like, Reggae98 randomly. I loveee Bob Marley at the moment, and am born in 1998.”
“Reggae123. Kind of got a ring to it?”
“Yeah I feel like that’s the one. I’m gonna write down Reggae123.”
Luckily for Zara, Google Chrome lit up with their handy dandy ‘remember password?’ feature, compromising her safety should an international data breach ensue but at least providing her some peace of mind.
More to come.
