Pauline Hanson Demands Norway-Style Gas And Oil Overhaul Because It's Currently Popular But Not Going To Happen

Deputy One Nation leader Pauline Hanson is demanding a full overhaul of the way in which the Commonwealth taxes our natural resources, namely oil and gas, in a similar fashion to the way Norway does it.

The Senator for Queensland told media in Canberra this week that the age of letting multinationals come in and take our natural resources essentially for free need to come to an end.

"I've been made aware of this social media push for a 25 per cent tax on gas and I think it's a great idea, so I will support it and be vocal about it," said Hanson.

"Let it be known, One Nation supports a 25 per cent tax on natural resources. And our research suggests that you, the average knock-a-bout Aussie, wants one too!"

"What makes this particularly good for One Nation is that it's never going to happen, so we can use that to showcase how fucking useless Labor and the Coalition are."

It's understood Barnaby Joyce's One Nation leader Barnaby Joyce received the green light to launch the policy from the party's figurehead Gina Rinehart or "Ore Chungus" as she's known internally, earlier this week.

The brand new policy echoes the sentiments of most minor parties, who are demanding that Australia adopt a Norway-style royalty programme where the wealth generated from selling our oil and gas is put into a "sovereign" fund that's then used to improve the lives of all Australians.

Speaking exclusively to The Advocate this morning via wireless telephone, Joyce said that the free lunches for foreign multi-nationals is coming to an end.

"What we are proposing is just for oil and gas, I need you to make that clear in your worthless, anti-progress, NIMBY-cunt newspaper. Because there's a lot of infomation out there now that's patently incorrect," said Joyce.

"We don't support going as far as the lunatic left wants, which is to put a royalty on all natural resources. For example, we here at BJON believe that putting a royalty payment exemption on iron and anything else Ore Chungus pulls out of the earth is a common sense thing to do,"

"Because we don't want to stifle good honest Australian businesses like Hancock Prospecting. We want companies like Glencore and Shell to suffer."

More to come.
