One Nation Back In Front After Pauline Announces Ban On Benson Boone From FM Radio If Elected

The Government has fallen out of favour this week as One Nation surges back ahead in a two-party-preferred race to The Lodge after the party's figurehead, Senator Pauline Hanson, announced a blanket ban on one of FM radio's hottest stars.

Popular US singer Benson Boone is in the Queenslander's crosshairs this week, as Hanson declared that she would have his music banned should One Nation be elected to government in 2028.

"I'm not putting that shit in my ears," she said.

"You can't escape it. When somebody told me it wasn't AI, I was shocked. When I'm elected to government, we're banning it. I don't care what anyone says."

The Senator's sentiments were echoed by party leader, the unsinkable Barnaby Joyce, who used crude, unsavoury language to describe his own musical preferences, which he says fairly reflects the views of One Nation itself.

"Anything that's not Slim Dusty is pump me in the [redacted by legal] music," he said.

"And I can say [redacted by legal] because we're the most gay-friendly political outfit. Don't listen to my colleague Malcolm Roberts, his remarks regarding the nation's homeslice community are not indicative of the party's stance on those people. They are personal opinions that he has. Old fashioned, sure. Hateful? Absolutely. But illegal? I'm not actually sure. Are queer people a race under 18C? I'll have to ask the shadow Attorney-General, Claude. We fed him the Constitution and he tells us, no bullshit, what the go is."

"And guess what? He said it's constitutionally legal to ban Benson Boone or whatever his name is. Seriously, that bloody song that sounds like a fucking broken-down old inkjet printer on the flying chair ride at a carnival. You know the one? You'd fucken know it if I played it for you."

The Government has branded the policy "populist rubbish" that does nothing to solve the problems that everyday Australians are facing.

Angus Taylor was the only leader to respond to questions from this masthead and was interested in perhaps widening the ban to include Hozier.
